Village Green Master Plan

Urged the city to improve how it communicates agenda items and the Village Green process, noting most residents have busy family schedules and first learned of the presentation only days before.

Said the green space is very important, that you can never have enough of it, and that green space raises property values more than overdevelopment.

Retired resident who walks the Village Green path urged the council to consider whether massive change is needed and to favor renovating rather than tearing down.

Questioned adding more retail and high-density housing when lots and storefronts sit vacant, said traffic is the top complaint, and called Village Green the crown jewel of Powell.

Urged preservation of the tranquil Village Green, saying it's one of Powell's treasures and that the process appears to be stepping toward eliminating it for development, with a lack of transparency.
